Local Residential Alcohol and Drug Rehab in East Sussex

Brighton and Hove is a popular area of East Sussex, well known for stag-party and hen weekend revelry. As such, citizens and visitors alike are exposed to an active drug scene. In turn, the consequences of addiction are not limited to the individual but extend to the entire family and community at large. Addiction causes devastating health problems and induces unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when you attempt to quit. While it may seem that you’re stuck with no way out, recovery is possible.

There are recovery services available in East Sussex that range from NHS and charity programmes to private rehab centres that offer holistic individualised treatment. You can also get help via support groups spread across the county to sustain your recovery and fight off cravings that may subsequently flare up after treatment.

Pros and Cons of Private Rehab

Pros
Easy access to treatment: A major benefit of private rehab is that you’ll have access to treatment whenever you need it. For instance, there’s no need to wait for weeks as you might with government-funded options. In most cases, you can walk into a rehab centre and be admitted on the same day.

Nationwide acceptance: Charities and government agencies that provide addiction treatment usually limit services to a specific area. Private rehab centres accept referrals for anyone, as long as they can pay for treatment. You’ll have the option of either staying in Sussex or travelling further afield for treatment.

Higher quality of support after treatment: Our private rehab facility offers a complimentary one-year aftercare service for all patients who complete treatment with us. This is an essential part of your recovery journey that helps you to maintain abstinence and practice all the lessons and skills learnt in rehab.

24/7 Support: Patients at our rehab centre are never alone. You’ll feel safe knowing that there are medical staff nearby whenever you need support or treatment. Unlike a home detox, whereby your carer isn’t medically equipped to handle an emergency situation, nurses and doctors at our rehab centre are highly trained, experienced and capable of providing adequate care, round-the-clock.

Cons

  • The high cost of treatment which should be weighed versus the long-term cost of addiction both financial, physical and spiritual

How to Choose a Recovery Programme

How many therapies are offered? Therapy is at the core of addiction treatment. The best rehab centres incorporate as many traditional and alternative techniques into your treatment plan to ensure success. This includes Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Therapy, Meditation, Acupuncture, Yoga and more.

Is treatment customised? No two patients are the same. Your treatment plan should be customised to reflect your needs, based on your input and suggestions from the medical team.

Would you feel more comfortable at a specialised rehab centre?
This includes rehabs for women only, men only, teen-only and elderly people, amongst others.

What are the qualifications of the medical staff? The medical team includes doctors, nurses, recovery workers, counsellors and therapists. They should be qualified, licensed and have experience treating your type of addiction.

What is the success rate of the rehab?
Reputable rehab centres have a reputation for achieving a positive outcome with their patients. Go online and read reviews, as this is the only way to know what to expect from a rehab centre, including the type of remedies they offer and the outcome of treatment.
